ATG Tape

Adhesive Transfer Tape is a wonderful alternative to our double sided tapes, they are quicker and more accurate to use than had applying double sided tape. We manufacture several different adhesives grades for our ATG range, each offering a solution for a variety of different applications.

201 = General Purpose
Our 201 is a clear acrylic transfer tape with a plain white release liner, this is permanent and will bond paper to card. Indoor applications only.

202 = General Purpose
A permanent reinforced scrim adhesive transfer tape. This tape is ideal for paper, card, and some plastic applications. Suitable for indoor use only.

203 = Standard Grade High Performance
203 is a high tack clear solvent acrylic transfer tape, which is ideal for mounting paper, card and some plastics. Suitable for indoor applications only.

7001 = Premium Grade High Performance
Ideal for paper, card, plastic, boards, fabric, and many other difficult to adhere surfaces in the print and display industry such as mat finished board. Suitable for indoor applications only.

Archival / Conservation Tape

PH7 -70 is a white 70gsm single sided paper with an acid free pH7 neutral acrylic adhesive. It has a high initial tack, which is great when working with heavier, textured or uneven paper and mount board surfaces. Due to the high initial tack the tape is permanent and can be difficult to remove.

When hinging art, always hinge from the back of the art, only 25mm wide x 5mm deep of the tape should be on the artwork. Always place the tape at least 40mm or more away from the image. Do not use on high value or irreplaceable art.

This tape is also available in double sided ATG format for quick and easy use.

Eco 15 and Eco 25 Self Adhesive Kraft Paper Tape

Our brown Kraft Paper Frame Sealing Tapes are primarily designed to give a professional finish to the back of the frame but they also protect against dust, air pollutants and insects. Both are flexible, pliable and sticks well to itself.

Eco 15 is our 60gsm paper tape. Eco 25 is our 70 gsm paper tape.

Both are available in 4 widths - 25mm, 38mm, 50mm and 75mm

Mat Decoration Tape

UK Industrial Tapes produce a range of Mat Decoration Tapes designed specially for covering Foam Biseaux strips to make a mat or mount with a deep bevel.

Kraft Paper Tapes Eco15

UK Industrial Tapes are the UK’s largest supplier of Kraft Paper Tapes into Picture Framing Industry.

The main application for these self-adhesive tapes is to seal backing boards to frames, our tapes all have pressure sensitive adhesives and attach to almost any surface easily, mainly wood and plastic. Our Paper Tapes are designed to conform well to most surface irregularities, these tapes can be applied from the roll, smoothed on and trimmed with a blade or scissors.

NEW Industrial Glue Gun

Our Heavy Duty Hot Melt Glue Gun is ideal for quick bonding of wood, card and board. It is used for securing mirrors into frames, fixing backs into frames and for double framing. It is important to wait at least 10 minutes before using the adhesive and in between jobs please ensure the gun is kept upright. Our gun is an industrial 12mm glue gun, it is robust and easy to use. 

471 is an outstanding high performance clear hot melt adhesive, specially designed for products assembly and packaging operations. This product is flexible, has good flow characterising and an aggressive tack. Clear in colour. 

470 is a high performance universal adhesive for pottery, wood, plastics and difficult materials. This is our recommended adhesive for any demanding frame applications. Tan in colour.

Cardboard Corner Protectors

Cardboard Corners are a must have within the Picture Framing industry as they are used to protect not just Frames but Canvas, Art Works and more. UK Industrial Tapes has a large selection of Cardboard Corner Protectors which are produced from a 1.4mm thick white faced flute board.

Perm / Peel Tape

At UK Industrial Tapes we produce our High Tack / Low Tack double sided Polyester Tape. We manufacture this on 1040mm wide logs meaning this can be cut to any required width, the most popular being 12mm, 15mm, 25mm and 30mm.

Also known as Perm / Peel, or product code 3220, this tape is fast becoming one of the most popular double sided tapes in our range with the point of sale and poster mounting industries.

Due to the low tack adhesive on one side the 3220 product is ideal for application where temporary use is required, allowing for the  removal of tape leaving zero residue on the applied surface. Black Mat Decoration Tape

Has been designed especially  to cover the bevel edges of foam core strips and create a mount with a deep bevel.

Can  also be used for Mount Decoration Projects. The self adhesive backing makes this product very easy and efficient to use on a 25mm x 15m roll.

Because it is a high quality, acid free archival product, it will not dry out or discolour.

Archival Tape

When it comes to Archival Tape for various picture framing applications, UK Industrial Tapes are the first choice for many framing businesses.

With a wide range of Gummed Paper Tape for heavier art work and Gummed Linen Tape which has a high thread count, both tapes are water activated which sets flat and provides the high tack needed for frameing applications. They are both PH neutral and will not yellow with age.

Another tape in the Archival Range is the Cotton Rag Gummed Tape. This tape is museum grade approved and has a 100% cotton fibre backed paper. This is an acid free, starch based adhesive and is ideal for hinging and sealing frames.

Picture Frame Sealing Tape

The 60gsm paper is very pliable and is therefore easily shaped to the back of a picture. It can be overlapped in the corners due to the tape's design to stick to itself.

Premium Frame Sealing Tape

The 70gsm paper is very flexible and it molds to the back of pictures extremely well. This produces a neat, quick, efficient and very professional finish.

The Eco 25 has been manufactured by UK Industrial Tapes for over 10 years.
This tape can offer a cost effective premium frame sealing tape in comparison to the Tesa 4341. The Eco 25 is available to order online in 4 different widths.

PH7- 70 Tape

UK Industrial Tapes are the largest supplier of picture framing tapes within the UK.

We offer the largest range of frame sealing tapes, from Sekisui, Tesa, and Supertape  to our own branded Eco 15 and Eco 25. These are ideal for all framers as they are self-adhesive, easy to apply, will stick to the plastic frames and offer a better finish.

We also still have high demand for Gum Strip as some framers prefer to offer a high level of conservation framing.

To reach a level of conservation framing, all materials either in direct contact with artwork or within the sealed frame itself, are acid-free. Acid-free barrier paper is used to separate your artwork from the backing board  alongside acid-free hinging and finishing tape.

Conservation framing techniques are also utilised when mounting and framing textiles and fabrics. Framers take great care to attach fabric securely to an acid-free foam core, enabling the artwork to be well supported.When applicable, the mounted artwork is then spaced away from the glazing to allow air to circulate freely.

At UK Industrial Tapes we manufacture the PH770 Hinging Tape range of acid-free adhesive tapes.

The single sided hinging tape comes in three main widths, 25mm, 38mm and 50mm.
This will provide adequate support for heavier artwork.

We also offer a double sided PH770 ATG Tapes at 12mm and 19mm wide. This allows framers to attach large photographs to acid free mount board and never have to worry about the adhesive drying out, going yellow or attacking the photo itself.
